ARE YOU AN INDIVIDUAL WHO NEEDS REAL ESTATE LEGAL DOCUMENTS?

If you are active in the real estate marketplace, or have certain business or family transactions involving
Maryland real estate, you may need to create or alter existing real estate documents. Examples
include:


REAL ESTATE DEEDS:

  • Quit claim deeds;

  • Deeds from an estate of a deceased person (personal representative deeds);

  • Deeds into or out of a limited liability company or corporation;

  • Deeds between private parties (no real estate agents and no title insurance involved);

  • Life estate deeds;

  • Deeds into our out of family trusts;

  • Deeds to change names;

  • Deeds between family members.


My cost for deed preparation for residential Maryland real property: $350.00.

Note: this includes preparation of the county Land Intake Sheet. It DOES NOT include the costs of recording the deed, taking the deed to the City/County for recording, or applicable state/city or county transfer or recordation taxes. It also does not include the costs with the county for physically recording documents, which is usually $60.00.

ADDITIONAL REAL ESTATE DOCUMENTS:

  • For Sale By Owner (FSBO) residential contracts;

  • Private party mortgages or deeds of trust;

  • Satisfactions or releases of mortgages or deeds of trust;

  • Easements or access agreements;

  • Residential leases.
